I only see the capital of latvia, so my judgement is certain wrong. However i try to give you an objective judgement, based to what i see in few days in this holiday....
Despite i live in a civil state (or better... someone define civil...) in Latvia everything appear tidy and disciplined: When the crosslight is red everyone stop, usually cars allow pedestrian to cross the street, not so much cars use the horn, and there is a queue to take the bus, so the first people who arrive, will be the first to get in! Inside the bus there is a men who sell tickets, so everyone pay the service!
in the evening there are more life than here in Venice, the Essential (a disco) is open from thursday to sunday, it open at 10pm and close at 8am!!!!!! At everytime there are life inside! Besides, especially in the week-end there are a lot of nice place to spend time... On the other hand, during the day there are not much place to go... ://
The life is not expensive for an italian, to enter in a disco cost about 7-8 euro, a drink 5euro a cigarette packet 1 euro and a ticke for the bus 0,30euro. A pizza cost 7-8 euro, but i don't know how people can live because the average salary is 350euro...!!
On the street is usual to see very expensive cars and is also usual to see very old cars... it's very difficult to see the last model of Golf or other cars which value is about 20.000euro. it look like that there are two different social class: one which make a lot of money and the other who remain with the same standard of living of the day before the indipendence. Some latvian people confirm me this. Curious the plate of this car.....!
During the trip to the beach that i write about in the page dedicated to latvian girls, we exit from Riga by bus and outside the city the house and everything appear more poor then in Riga center. probably all rich people live in the center...
I don't know why, but the florist are open 24h.... in the first photo it's 5.20am, in the second 1.30am... everything is close, but floris are open.... buh!!!
